What Happens After You Send Your Message
We want to be transparent about how we handle every inquiry. Here’s exactly what happens after you hit send — no black holes, no auto-responses that never get read.
We Read It
Every message is read by a real person on our editorial team — not a bot, not an automated ticket system. We review new submissions every business day.
We Verify
For corrections and broken link reports, we check the issue against official sources before making any changes. We don’t alter content based on unverified claims.
We Fix It
Confirmed issues are corrected promptly. Broken links are updated. Wrong information is fixed with a note showing the correction date. Every verified fix goes live within 24 hours.
We Reply
We respond to the email address you provided, confirming what action was taken (or explaining why a change wasn’t made). We respond to every message — no exceptions.
Requesting Removal of Your Information
If information about you appears on CountySheriffsOffice.org and you believe it should be removed — because it is inaccurate, because the charge was dismissed or expunged, or because you have a court order requiring removal — you can submit a removal request through the contact form above.
Select “🗑️ Request to remove my information” as the subject. In your message, please include:
- The exact URL of the page where your information appears
- Your full legal name as it appears on the page
- The reason for your removal request (inaccurate, expunged, dismissed, court order, etc.)
- Any supporting documentation you can provide (court orders, dismissal notices)
We process legitimate removal requests — such as those supported by a court order, expungement, or clear inaccuracy — at no charge. If any website charges you money to remove a mugshot or arrest record, you should know that in many states this practice is restricted or prohibited by law. We will never charge you for a verified removal.
